When Taylor Lautner told us about his hot and heavy onscreen hookup with Lily Collins in Abduction, he left out one very important detail.

He and Ms. Collins enjoyed an offscreen romance, too! How do we know? Sure, rumors have been swirling for months, but now their costar Denzel Whitaker has actually gone on the record about it.

Here’s what he told us…

“It’s kind of like that teenage love in high school,” Whitaker said at last night’s Hollywood premiere of his latest flick, Warrior (more on that later!). “It was kind of like, ‘Let’s go on a date.’ They were willing to go bowling. It wasn’t all about the relationship, it was more about having fun with each other and I think any time that’s the premise of your couple, it’s going to go great.”

Whitaker says he saw the sparks flying at the very first table read. “I think the chemistry’s naturally going to show [in the movie]…It was off set so it definitely came on set,” he said.

As for that steamy scene, Whitaker said it takes place in a train. “I think all the fans of both parties are really going to love that,” he said. Yeah, especially since Whitaker also told E! News, “There are a few scenes without [Lautner's] shirt on.”

One thing Whitaker couldn’t tell us was if Lautner and Collins are still an item. Lautner’s rep did not immediately comment. A rep for Collins said she does not comment on her clients’ private lives.

Taylor Lautner has revealed that he is excited about the upcoming premiere of The X Factor USA.

The Twilight: Breaking Dawn actor confessed that he loves watching singing competitions in his free time and is particularly looking forward to The X Factor’s stateside launch later this month.

“I’m a big fan of all those singing competition shows. Most recently, I’ve been into The Voice. It’s one of my secrets!” Lautner explained to Access Hollywood.

“And I’m definitely looking forward to The X Factor, especially because I’m a huge Simon Cowell fan. Personally, I sing for fun, but mainly in the shower, when I’m alone. Other people definitely do not want to hear me sing.”

The X Factor USA’s two-night premiere kicks off on Wednesday, September 21 and Thursday, September 22 at 8pm ET on Fox.

Fox recently unveiled four new teaser videos of upcoming X Factor USA auditions.

Taylor Lautner admits a ‘Stretch Armstrong’ film won’t be out for some time. The ‘Twilight Saga’ actor has long been rumoured to play the toy-character in a forthcoming big-screen story, but he admits other projects are on his mind before that movie comes to fruition.

He said: “‘Stretch Armstrong’ is still in the scriptwriting process at the moment, so we are waiting to hear. There are a couple of other things I’m really excited about that haven’t been announced yet.”

The 19-year-old star will next be seen in thriller ‘Abduction’, where he displays his particularly muscular frames many times, and he admits it is hard to get to a large size and keep it up.

He told Movie Hole: “It was very hard to put on, and then it was just as hard to maintain it.” Taylor has recently revealed he would love a career similar to ‘Mission Impossible’ star Tom Cruise. He said: “The most important thing I did was sit down beforehand and watch a lot of movie and study actors that I look up to.

“We studied Tom Cruise in ‘Minority Report’, Harrison Ford, Matt Damon, Denzel Washington .
“I would love [to follow in their footsteps]. That would be an honour, to be compared to people like that. I look up to Tom Cruise and Matt Damon. I would kill to have the careers they’ve had.”

Taylor Lautner has revealed that he would be “crushed” if he was rejected in the same manner as his Twilight alter ego Jacob Black.

The Abducted actor explained that he can “relate” to Jacob’s storyline in the upcoming adaptation of Breaking Dawn, to be released in November.

“I can relate to Jacob’s feelings in Breaking Dawn,” he told Seventeen magazine. “When he gets the invitation to the wedding, he doesn’t handle it very well.

“I don’t think I would either. If I were in love with a girl and she told me she was marrying somebody else, [it] would crush me. That’s what it does. It destroys Jacob.”

Lautner recently said that his Twilight co-star Kristen Stewart will make a “dark and edgy” Snow White in Snow White & the Huntsman.

A couple of days back I had a chance to talk to the lovely lycan leader himself, Taylor Lautner. The amiable young actor cum producer is out promoting his “Bourne Identity”-esque thriller “Abduction”, and while the interview (and review of said film) won’t be posted for a few weeks yet, we’re allowed to run a tease. Giving we are.
In this clip, Lautner speaks about his upcoming projects, namely “The Twilight Saga : Breaking Dawn Part 2? and “Stretch Armstrong”, the long-in-the-works feature based on the classic toy line.

Taylor Lautner suffered “wear and tear” doing his own stunts on ‘Abduction’. The 19-year-old actor was keen to get involved in as much action as he could in the film, but admits he wasn’t prepared for the impact it would have on his body. He said: “Every day I would show up to set and the first question I would ask is, What’s the stunt for the day?’ and ‘Am I doing it?’

“There was one stunt where I’m sliding down the glass over the escalator and it looked like a gigantic slide. So I begged to do that and they let me. “After three or four takes it was like, ‘This is awesome, it’s just like a big slide.’ But after 15 takes you start bruising and it starts to wear and tear on your body. Chafing.”

While Taylor is best known for playing werewolf Jacob Black in the ‘Twilight Saga’ movie series, he is hoping to attract new fans with his performance in ‘Abduction’. He said: “I’m extremely thankful for my fanbase. But this one is definitely a movie for the guys. I’m looking forward to that.”

Taylor Lautner must have been tired of standing around, waiting for Kirsten Stewart to decide between him and Robert Pattinson in the Twilight movies. In his new flick, Abduction, the wunderkind seemingly tackles every stunt under the sun, from crazy driving to gunplay to smashing through anything breakable.

Ripped abs? OK, impressive. Jump kicking a dude through a window while shouting something about your lost identity? That’s heroism.

The latest TV spot for the movie injects 50cc’s of adrenaline directly into your brain, with Lautner teaming up with Sigourney Weaver (Ghostbusers, Avatar) to take down an extremely pissy Alfred Molina (Prince of Persia, Law & Order: LA). This movie isn’t giving you the time to even think about Robert Pattinson

To say Taylor Lautner is a busy guy these days is a massive understatement. In addition to promoting both of “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn” films, the first of which will be released in November, the actor is starring in a real thriller in this September’s “Abduction.”

So, does Lautner even get an down time these days?

“If I’m not filming, I’m promoting, and if it wasn’t ‘Twilight,’ it was a different movie, so it got really busy,” Lautner told VMAN magazine about his crazy rise to fame. “But yeah, no, I, you know, I hang out with my friends, family, and kind of just – I don’t even know. It’s like, when I am not filming, it seems like – I don’t even know what I do.”

Now that his official filming duties for “The Twilight Saga” are over, Lautner can focus on other projects, but he credits his fellow cast members with helping him learn the ropes of Hollywood — and keeping him sane.

“It was really helpful that all of us were going through the same thing at the same time,” he said. “I think if we didn’t have that sort of relationship it would have been tough. It would have felt pretty lonely. Because when you are filming for these ‘Breaking Dawn’ movies, we were filming for seven months — and if you’re there alone the whole time even with the cast members, like on a day off, or on weekends, you’d go nuts.”

Even though he isn’t really the wolf he plays in the “Twilight” movies, fans sometimes have a hard time separating fiction from real life — something Lautner has has to deal with since the first film came out in 2008.

“Its definitely these characters we are playing. They are in love with Bella Swan, Edward Cullen, and Jacob Black. I mean, they feel like they know them. We are just lucky enough to be playing them. But I definitely think its the characters.”

As for “Abduction,” Lautner finds himself a long way from Jacob, Edward and Bella.

“I call it an action-drama-thriller-romance, I mean it’s got everything in it,” he said at the VMAs, adding that there’s an “intense, intense steamy scene” between him and co-star Lily Collins.

Over the years, there have been many, many rumors concerning what Taylor Lautner might get involved with next. The latest is, for now, just that. A so-called suggestion.

According to Twitch, there is current, on-going buzz concerning the possibility that Taylor Lautner might star opposite The Rock in a Hollywood rendition of the Biblical tale of David and Goliath.

If you’re going to tell the story of the giant versus the shepherd boy you’d best find yourself an impressive giant and it would appear that Relativity have done just that with sources telling Twitch that they are now in talks with Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson to fill the role. As for the other side of the standoff things are not as advanced but word is that an offer has been made to Taylor Lautner to fill the part of David, which comes as no surprise given that Twilight producers Marty Bowen and Wyck Godfrey are also involved in this project.

Now, the association of Bowen and Godfrey with the film does add some merit to the possibility. Those two probably love Taylor Lautner and all-things-Twilight, so it wouldn’t be surprising to hear they may want to bring him in to another of their films. On the other hand, it’s far too early to tell whether this has become a sealed deal.

Still, the possibility that he could face-off with The Rock is probably a pretty exciting one for Taylor Lautner, who unquestionably wants to continue on in the action film scene.

Also, though Lautner is well-muscled and nothing close to small, in comparison to The Rock, he would look rather like a David.

Your thoughts on this potential development?

This month’s Total Film features an hunktastic shoot with Abduction star Taylor Lautner, and we’ve got an online exclusive image below.

We caught up with Lautner in LA to discuss his leap to action movie stardom with Abduction.

With his legions of squealing fans, Lautner has the teen idol/lust object bit down pat, but will he convince as an action man?

He certainly has some lofty aspirations, telling us, “The most important thing I did with John [Singleton – director] was sit down beforehand and watch a lot of movies and study actors that I look up to.”

“We studied Tom Cruise in Minority Report, Harrison Ford, Matt Damon, Denzel Washington…”

When we asked if he was actively looking to inherit their gig, he replied: “That would be an honour, to be compared to people like that. I look up to Tom Cruise and Matt Damon.

“I would kill to have the careers they’ve had…”

Taylor Lautner was kicking back in his seat at the 2011 MTV Movie Awards, applauding his “Twilight” co-stars’ win for Best Kiss, when Robert Pattinson bounded down from the stage, abandoning Kristen Stewart at the podium to lay a smooch on Tay-tay’s lips.

The crowd went nuts, Lautner wiped his mouth, and another MTV awards-show moment went down in history. Can the 19-year-old star do it again? At the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards, can he possibly top kissing RPattz?

“Oh, I was definitely kissed by,” he clarified to MTV News during the VMAs’ black-carpet pre-show. “It was quite a shocker.”

So, can it be done? Who’s to say? He’s not one to prepare much for awards shows, as he let us know at the Teen Choice Awards a few weeks ago, saying, “It’s really hard to prepare, so it’s kind of like you just show up here, have fun.”

This time around, Lautner is on hand to present an award at the show a few weeks before his new thriller, “Abduction,” hits theaters. Perhaps some of his fellow presenters — like Nicki Minaj, Drake, Joe Jonas and Jared Leto — can assist in the making of a true Video Music Award moment.

For his part, though, Lautner isn’t making any promises. He’ll be proceeding into the Nokia Theatre with caution, his eyes peeled, his lips guarded.

On whether he could top the Movie Awards’ show-stopping moment, he said, “I honestly have no idea. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.”
