According to Digital Spy

The 19-year-old revealed that he is finding it difficult to let go of the supernatural film franchise, admitting that he will miss his fellow cast members.

“Whenever we would finish filming any of the other movies, we would be bummed, but we would know that it was just a matter of a few months before we would be back filming another one,” Lautner told Collider. “So when we wrapped these last two, it was tough for us because we had been playing these characters for so long and spending so much time together for so long.”

He continued: “It was a little emotional. But I mean the good news is, we will be able to promote them together for the next year and a half.”

The actor went on to describe his last day on set, revealing that he was alone.

“My last day of shooting, I was by myself, so that was kind of sad,” Lautner said. “But, my second to last day, I did a scene with me, Rob [Pattinson] and Kristen [Stewart].”

Lautner recently said that he is “proud” of the final installments in the franchise, saying that he looks forward to their release.

Earlier this month, the actor claimed that he would be “crushed” if he was rejected in the same manner as his Twilight alter ego Jacob Black.

Will YOU cry while watching the last installment of “The Twilight Saga:Breaking Dawn”?

Taylor Lautner wants to direct films.

The 19-year-old star insists he is currently happy with his acting career but has always had an interest in the movie-making process and was thrilled his own production company were involved in his latest work ‘Abduction’.

He said: “Maybe I’ll direct, down the road. I’m definitely loving what I’m doing right now, and that’s what I’m focusing on. But, I’ve always been super interested in all aspects of film. Ever since I was in video production class in high school, it was a dream of mine to be involved in movie-making, not only in front of the camera but behind the camera as well.

“That’s why this movie was such a dream come true for me. It’s my production company’s first movie, and being able to be involved from the ground up, in developing the story and creating the characters and the journey that they go on, it was a lot of fun for me.”

Taylor says his biggest acting goal is to continue to challenge” himself by tackling a wide variety of films.
He added: “That is a good question. If you had asked me that question two years ago, I would not have guessed that I would be sitting here today. But, my goal is to continue to challenge myself to do a wide variety of roles and genres. Another thing that attracted me to this was that it was different than anything I had ever done before, and I had a great experience with it. I love it, but now I am definitely looking forward to doing something completely different.”

With a toothy grin permanently planted on his face, Taylor Lautner comes across as one of young Hollywood’s most confident actors. His expression can also look forced, as though he’s trying hard to prove how gracious he is.
But Lautner insists he’s not nearly as stiff as he can sometimes seem.

“I probably do a good job of hiding it — but I’m definitely pretty sensitive,” he told 24 Frames. “I’m not a huge crier. I can’t think of the last time I cried. But I definitely am very sensitive. Like, I don’t like disappointing or hurting other people. And watching movies — I can’t say I didn’t cry during ‘The Notebook.’”

On Friday, Lautner will seek to show a more vulnerable side when he opens the action movie “Abduction.” It’s no Nicholas Sparks tearjerker, but there is a more dramatic storyline about a young man seeking a connection with his father.

It’s the actor’s first major role in a film outside of Stephenie Meyer’s teen series, and it features Lautner in nearly every frame. The 19-year-old plays Nathan, a high school student forced to go on the run after realizing his true identity has been concealed from him since he was a baby.

The role required Lautner to put in some intense physical preparation, but he says it also stretched his acting ability.

“I definitely felt more comfortable and confident as an actor after ‘Abduction,’ because this movie took me to places that I’d never been as an actor before,” he said in a recent interview. “Like, this character shows a lot of emotion. More emotion than Jacob has shown yet.

Taylor Lautner has called on Twilight fans to support his decision to take on more challenging roles.

The 19-year old actor will next be seen in Boyz in the Hood’s director John Singleton’s Abduction.

He takes on the role of a teenager who is forced to go on the run after he finds out his parents have been hiding a secret about their past.

Lautner told the Los Angeles Times: “I don’t know why, but I’m always looking to challenge myself as much as possible.

“Plus, I had always been an action fan and been fans of actors like [Matt] Damon and Harrison Ford. What I love about their action movies is that they’re not just action movies. They’re playing a character that goes through an incredible journey.”

Lautner was told by Singleton to watch thrillers with Tom Cruise and Harrison Ford in preparation for the role.

The actor, who plays werewolf Jacob Black in the Twilight movies, added: “I’m just hoping that the fans can support me doing completely different things outside of the franchise. And yeah, I mean, there probably is a lot at stake.

“It definitely crosses my mind, and I would be lying if I said I feel no pressure. But whenever that thought does come in my mind, I try to push it out as quickly as possible. I try and just stay focused on things that I can control.”

Lautner admitted this week that he is sad to have filmed the last installment of the Twilight franchise.

Taylor did an interview with a freelance writer from Cineplex, here’s an excerpt from the interview!

In Breaking Dawn, Jacob falls in love with Bella and Edward’s newborn daughter, Renesmee. That’s a creepy storyline to play out.

“He doesn’t fall in love. He’s a werewolf and the legend is that they imprint on somebody, and he does imprint on her.”

So you’re saying not to judge the species?

“Yeah, definitely not [laughs].”

As a highly paid teen actor, what have you splurged on?

“I recently got the iPad 2. I know it’s not that exciting. My parents have always raised me to be a good saver. The other thing is I’m never home. I’m rarely here. I’m always busy filming.”

You’re too busy to shop?

“It’s true [laughs]. There’s no point in buying something huge and extravagant if you’re never going to be home to enjoy it.”

You seem very centered. Where does the discipline come from?

“Martial arts had a major part to do with the discipline. One of the most important things martial arts taught me was just hard work. You don’t wake up one morning and everything has happened for you; you’ve got to go out and get it and work for it and that’s definitely the case with martial arts and any sports I’ve played and the case with this business.”

When fans shadow you, how do you distance yourself from the attention?

“Sometimes it’s hard. When I’m on set and there’s 600 fans showing up, that’s amazing. It’s amazing to see that kind of support. They’re the reason I’m on that set right then, filming the movie, so it’s really important for me to show them how thankful I am. But sometimes you do just want to have a moment to relax and sit down on the couch and spend time with your friends.”

What do you miss the most about a normal life?

“Theme parks. I love roller coasters, Magic Mountain. I’ve been to Disneyworld, like, seven times. It’s actually really funny because I live in Los Angeles and I’ve never been to Disneyland, but it would be pretty difficult to go now.”

When was the last time you went to a theme park?

“Five years ago.”

Even non-Twihards know that Kristen Stewart is spoken for. When prompted to comment on Bella as a vampire, Taylor Lautner shared his true feelings. “Umm, yeah.” He said, scratching face and looking away. “It’s pretty hot, pretty hot.”

Lautner then talked about how grateful he is for the “Twilight” franchise. But anyway, back to “Abduction.” “So I thank that franchise and everyone involved for the opportunity to make a movie like ‘Abduction.’”

Rotten Tomatoes took a little bit of a different approach when they had the chance to interview Taylor Lautner as he did press for Abduction last week. They of course asked some standard questions about Abduction, but additionally got Taylor to list his top five movies, and got him to spill on what he does when he wants to slip out in public without being recognized.

Braveheart (Mel Gibson, 1995; 79% Tomatometer)

My all time, classic favorites come down to Gladiator and Braveheart. Those are definitely my top two. Braveheart might even get the edge. I’ve seen those movies so many times. I’ve probably seen Braveheart like 10 or 15 times. It’s just, it’s classic; Mel is amazing in it — and I believe he directed it as well, right? Braveheart is absolutely unbelievable, and the ending of that movie is the best part.

Gladiator (Ridley Scott, 2000; 78% Tomatometer)

And then Gladiator, I mean — Russell’s just a stud in that movie. [laughs]

Man on Fire (Tony Scott, 2004; 39% Tomatometer)
This one I am so obsessed with. This is the movie I’ve seen the most out of any movie. I’ve probably seen it 25 or 30 times. Anybody I meet that has not seen this movie, I force them to sit down with me and I show it to them: Man on Fire. I don’t know why; it’s a weird obsession. I just think Denzel [Washington] is great in it and I think Dakota [Fanning] is amazing in it. It’s a brutal one. You know, it’s Denzel out for revenge, and their relationship — Denzel’s and Dakota’s — is so touching. And the ending of that movie is by far the best part, too. Tony Scott is one of my favorite directors. Everything they do together is gold.

Taylor goes on to talk about going out in disguise sometimes:

Do you ever slip out incognito among the fans?
I try. I try. I don’t have the best outfit.

Do you have to wear a disguise?
I mean, you don’t have to — but if you wanna go somewhere really public then maybe you’ll try. I just throw on a hat and sunglasses. I keep it simple.

And you still get spotted?
Yes! When I look in the mirror — I put the hat down, put it really down, with big sunglasses — I don’t think I look anything like myself.

So you don’t recognize yourself, but somebody else does.
Oh yeah. It’s unbelievable. I think I look nothing like myself, but the second I walk out the front door: boom! It’s amazing. It just goes to show the passion that the fans have.

During last night’s Hollywood party for the Blu-ray and DVD release of X-Men: First Class, I got to speak with young actor Denzel Whitaker on the red carpet. Denzel Whitaker stars in the upcoming thriller Abduction, portraying Gilly, the best friend of Taylor Lautner’s main character, Nathan. Here’s what he had to say about Abduction on the red carpet.

“Gilly is Taylor Lautner’s character’s best friend in the film. Taylor’s character, Nathan, sort of gets into some trouble, where he sees his picture on a missing persons website. That sort of spawns the whole action throughout the movie. Basically, my character is the one dude he can trust, his best friend, he knows he’s not going to turn on him.”

I told him that when I first heard about the movie, that I had this thought in my head that he Nathan was kidnapped at birth by who he thinks are his parents. After watching the trailers, TV spots, and clilps for Abduction, the thriller is actually much bigger than all of that. I asked Denzel Whitaker about his reaction to the story when he first read it.

“I actually had the same thought, because of the name Abduction. You think he’s going to get abducted or whatnot. They don’t stray too far away from that because they drag you on like, ‘Is he going to get kidnapped or abducted?’ There is still that element to it.”
