Tara continued to express what her experience was like waiting for one of Hollywood’s biggest stars; “Not long after I had finished talking to Lily I began to hear shrill screaming and when I turned to see the crowd of fans outside shrieking hysterically, some even crying, I knew that Taylor Lautner had arrived! At this point I do confess to becoming a little nervous and the constant shrill from outside did put me on edge a little; but somehow I managed to calm myself enough to just repeat my questions in my head. I waited for him to sign autographs and take pictures outside before I got the opportunity to talk to him, and much like my interview with his co-star my anxieties and nerves quickly faded. He too was very friendly and I quickly relaxed; I managed to squeeze in three questions before he was moved on to another interviewer!”

Video: Taylor and Conan discussing how how was a “Kick Ass 8 Year Old”!

According to Digital Spy

The 19-year-old revealed that he is finding it difficult to let go of the supernatural film franchise, admitting that he will miss his fellow cast members.

“Whenever we would finish filming any of the other movies, we would be bummed, but we would know that it was just a matter of a few months before we would be back filming another one,” Lautner told Collider. “So when we wrapped these last two, it was tough for us because we had been playing these characters for so long and spending so much time together for so long.”

He continued: “It was a little emotional. But I mean the good news is, we will be able to promote them together for the next year and a half.”

The actor went on to describe his last day on set, revealing that he was alone.

“My last day of shooting, I was by myself, so that was kind of sad,” Lautner said. “But, my second to last day, I did a scene with me, Rob [Pattinson] and Kristen [Stewart].”

Lautner recently said that he is “proud” of the final installments in the franchise, saying that he looks forward to their release.

Earlier this month, the actor claimed that he would be “crushed” if he was rejected in the same manner as his Twilight alter ego Jacob Black.

Will YOU cry while watching the last installment of “The Twilight Saga:Breaking Dawn”?

Abduction hit theaters today, who’s going to be seeing it?

We caught up with Taylor Lautner this weekend at the LA press day for his upcoming movie Abduction. Taylor talked with us about his new action role and, of course, Breaking Dawn. At Abduction’s red-carpet premiere last Thursday night, Taylor promised that the second-to-last installment in the Twilight saga would bring fans to tears. The actor, who has seen several cuts of the film already, admitted that he wasn’t immune to the emotion. In fact, he told us he “definitely” teared up while watching the movie! Stay tuned later this week to check out our full interview with Taylor, where we talk about his costar and rumored real-life girlfriend Lily Collins as well as his impressive stunt work, and watch him in our latest edition of I’m a Huge Fan when it debuts this Wednesday!

PopSugar: I know you said you had the chance to see Breaking Dawn a couple of times and you promised that it’s going to make fans cry. Does that mean you teared up a little bit?

Taylor Lautner: Oh yes! Yeah, of course. It’s an emotional one. You see the same characters we’ve grown to know and love in a completely different light than you’ve seen them before. I mean, it’s still part of the same franchise, but I mean it’s a completely different movie — and I think that’s going to be exciting for fans to see.

PS: Was there a moment during shooting, or on set, where the finality of everything hit you?

TL: Yeah, definitely. The big moment for me was the second-to-last day of filming, because that was my final scene with Kristen and Rob. It was an emotional scene we were filming, so that really didn’t help, but it was tough and it’s a very weird feeling to be done filming.

PS: Now, as I’m sure you know by now, Brad Pitt recently said that Sharkboy and Lavagirl is on high rotation in his house. How surreal is that?

TL: It is! I’m trying to picture Brad Pitt in front of his couch watching Sharkboy and Lavagirl right now. It’s kind of a funny visual. I’m sure it’s because of his kids.

Taylor did an interview with a freelance writer from Cineplex, here’s an excerpt from the interview!

In Breaking Dawn, Jacob falls in love with Bella and Edward’s newborn daughter, Renesmee. That’s a creepy storyline to play out.

“He doesn’t fall in love. He’s a werewolf and the legend is that they imprint on somebody, and he does imprint on her.”

So you’re saying not to judge the species?

“Yeah, definitely not [laughs].”

As a highly paid teen actor, what have you splurged on?

“I recently got the iPad 2. I know it’s not that exciting. My parents have always raised me to be a good saver. The other thing is I’m never home. I’m rarely here. I’m always busy filming.”

You’re too busy to shop?

“It’s true [laughs]. There’s no point in buying something huge and extravagant if you’re never going to be home to enjoy it.”

You seem very centered. Where does the discipline come from?

“Martial arts had a major part to do with the discipline. One of the most important things martial arts taught me was just hard work. You don’t wake up one morning and everything has happened for you; you’ve got to go out and get it and work for it and that’s definitely the case with martial arts and any sports I’ve played and the case with this business.”

When fans shadow you, how do you distance yourself from the attention?

“Sometimes it’s hard. When I’m on set and there’s 600 fans showing up, that’s amazing. It’s amazing to see that kind of support. They’re the reason I’m on that set right then, filming the movie, so it’s really important for me to show them how thankful I am. But sometimes you do just want to have a moment to relax and sit down on the couch and spend time with your friends.”

What do you miss the most about a normal life?

“Theme parks. I love roller coasters, Magic Mountain. I’ve been to Disneyworld, like, seven times. It’s actually really funny because I live in Los Angeles and I’ve never been to Disneyland, but it would be pretty difficult to go now.”

When was the last time you went to a theme park?

“Five years ago.”

Today at Comic-Con, most of the talk was about a little film called Breaking Dawn. While we were here, we took this opportunity to chat with Taylor Lautner about his other upcoming film, Abduction. Not only is this action thriller his first starring role, it’s also the debut release from his production company, Tailor Made.

IMDb: We thought that perhaps you may be the youngest action star. Do you know if that’s true?

Taylor Lautner: (laughing) I don’t know, am I considered an action star? That’s great to hear. I really look up to actors like Matt Damon and Tom Cruise and they definitely had their go at the action realm. But what I love most about them is they are known as the action guys, but they aren’t just the action guys. They have challenged themselves to so much. Even in their action movies, there were incredible characters. I think Abduction is similar to that and I can’t wait for people to see it.

IMDb: So you considered a few other projects you were considering such as Northern Lights and Stretch Armstrong, what made you pick this project?

Lautner: It’s a funny story. I had a general meeting with one of the producers two years ago. He pitched me a lot of ideas from scripts and at the very end of the meeting he said, ‘I have one other project but it’s literally just a pitch.’ He told me two lines of what it was about and I said ‘that is the best idea I have heard yet. Let me know when you get a script.’ A year went by and I didn’t hear anything on it. Then, randomly, I was at the Super Bowl and I got a call from my agent and he asked if remembered the project Abduction. He sent the script overnight to Miami and I read it all in one night. The next morning I called everyone and said this has to be my next project.

IMDb: So did they end up writing the script specifically with you in mind?

Lautner: Well, yes I think after that original meeting when I showed him I was interested enough, a script was written but that was just the first draft. Then I came on board and my production company did as well. There was a lot of development and several more rounds of scripts. But it turned out great.

IMDb: Is this your first producing credit?

Lautner: Yes, Abduction is my production company’s [Tailor Made] first movie. I have always been interested in the development process. It’s great to be able to build the movie from the ground up, and work the characters and be along for the journey. It’s been a lot of fun.

IMDb: As a first-time producer, were you surprised by the process and everything that goes into making the film?

Lautner: I think that producing makes you realize how much work goes into a project before the cameras roll. It took a year to get the script and several months to re-tweak it. Plus casting, getting the whole team together, and then, that’s when the cameras start rolling. And, once they stop rolling, then there’s post-production. It never stops! It’s a very long process and a lot of hard work but it’s definitely worth it in the end when you watch the movie and you can remember everything that went into it.

IMDb: As an actor, were you able to take off your producer hat and trust that everything was getting done?

Lautner: Absolutely. A major help with that was our director John Singleton.

IMDb: How did he get involved with the project?

Lautner: He was just the right guy for it. He was super passionate about the film from the beginning. He really took me under his wing and we went through a film school together. He made me watch a lot of movies–

IMDb: Which movies?

Lautner: We studied some of my favorite actors in roles similar to [my character] Nathan in Abduction. We watched Tom Cruise in Minority Report. We watched Harrison Ford in The Fugitive. It was great because I was able to study them in ways they went about taking on those roles and tried to bring some of that to Abduction.

IMDb: This was a very physical role and you’ve been doing karate since you were very young. What other types of training did you do to prepare for the role?

Lautner: There was a lot of physical training. Three months before we started filming, I started taking boxing. So I boxed, motorcycle training, wrestling, and my martial arts helped a little bit with the fight training. It was extremely physically challenging which was a lot of fun.

IMDb: What was your favorite part of the filmmaking process?

Lautner: It would probably be working with everyone I had the opportunity to work with. I had an incredible cast: Sigourney Weaver, Alfred Molina, Lily Collins, Maria Bello, and Jason Isaacs. I was so fortunate and I couldn’t have done it without all of them.

IMDb: So you are here at Comic-Con for the second time for that other movie you have coming out. Over the last three years, so much has changed with the whole Twilight craze. Now that this chapter is about to end, what is it you want to take with you?

Lautner: I am incredibly thankful for this franchise. It has given all of us the opportunity to go off and do what we love and things we are passionate about. I wouldn’t have been able to make Abduction if it wasn’t for the Twilight Saga. I am thankful for that and the relationships we took from the series. We’ve made lifelong friendships and that’s super important to me.

This was previously posted back in September. However, with all the hype we figured we’d repost it!

Emily Rizzo of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania finally got to catch up with Taylor Lautner. Emily Rizzo and several of her friends have consistently extra’d throughout the ‘Abduction’ filming process at endless hours of the day. Unfortunately, when filming is in session the extras are off limits to having contact with any of the movie stars, including yours truly Taylor Lautner.

How did you get to meet Taylor Lautner?

Well, their car drove out of the parking lot and Lily Collins rolled down the window and told us to go down to the Bass Camp and we did. So, we walked down the street and then Taylor came out and shook our hands.

That’s really sweet of her to tell you guys to come down there! What happened next?

After he came to meet us we got to talk to him too and I told him I was an extra in your movie (Abduction) several days. I was also there yesterday and he said he remembered seeing me and I told him how I work at PNC Park (Pittsburgh Pirates Field) and he passed me while I was working the dessert cart!

Now the girls of the United States know who to blame if his abs start disappearing!

Hahaha, but I said “You didnt look too interested in any of it”, and he started laughing (self explanatory).

So, how many of you were able to meet Taylor at that time?

It was just me and my three friends were also there, Chelsea Schutz, Angela Thomas, and Christine Schell! We all got pictures and he said he was so glad to meet all of us. He was really sweet!

How was it on set? Also, how many days did you extra in the movie?

It was amazing being on set! Long hot days but it was totally worth it. The cast and crew were extremely nice. I was an extra 3 different days!

What is one of your favorite parts of being on the set with Taylor Lautner?

My favorite part about being in the film is definitely seeing Taylor act up close and personal and to see what he was like off camera. Being around such talanted ppl and learning about production was definitely a plus in working on the film as well.

Finally, Emily says..

It was a great experience everyone there was so friendly. I cant wait for the movie to come out. Overall it was an amazing experience and I hope you guys look out for me in the movie!

Sounds like an amazing experience! If you want to ask Emily any questions, feel free to send her a shout on twitter! Her twitter is @Erizzox3. But be courteous, don’t be upset that she can’t release any information about the movie because that is against the terms and conditions that she signed when becoming an extra.

It’s Taylor’s first lead role (outside of the ‘Twilight’ films) and a chance to show some range.

JS: It’s Taylor’s chance to really flex. The excitement about this is everyone loves this kid! But they don’t really know what he’s totally capable of doing. They don’t know he was a martial arts champion at the age of eleven. And that he’s physical. And that he’s actually funny. And that he’s charismatic and I was thinking they could see the potential in the ‘Twilight’ pictures then this is just like just letting it loose.

What did you do differently that would make him grow as an actor.

JS: What I did was really just brought him into my circle and have him really relax. We just watched movies together and talked about acting and I wanted him to see how there are people in the past that have been in the position that he’s like James Dean and Tom Cruise and young actors who evolved into young adulthood and the decisions that they make. And then we start just talking about the character. And he relaxed enough to improv for the first time. No one ever asked him to do these things. What’s amazing is that everyone doesn’t see how brilliant he is at his age at just picking up stuff. He’ll come and say, ‘I want to try something.’ And he never had a chance to do that. People just wanted him to look good. They didn’t want him to flex and do different stuff.

How was shooting there for this movie?

We shot a huge sequence during the baseball game. That was the first time I ever done that, with almost 30,000 spectators there. So I had six, seven cameras, three units, and jumping from one side of the fence into the next with Taylor doing the action while trying to make sure people weren’t taking pictures of us. Every day on the set there’s at least five, six hundred girls way off that were trying to hide out of the shot. And Taylor goes, ‘Shh, no. Be quiet, we’re trying to do this.’ The cool thing about him is pretty much every day or every other day when we shot new scenes he’d go out after work, after working all those hours. And he’d go shake everybody’s hand and take pictures and everything. I told him one time, ‘That’s what it takes.’ I also said to him, ‘You probably don’t even know who Jackie Wilson but you know who Michael Jackson was. My parents looked up to Jackie Wilson because Jackie Wilson had a theory. He would go and shake hands with everybody, take pictures with everybody regardless of who they were. And that’s what he became famous and sustained as long as he did.’ And Taylor did that.

In looking at the trailer there’s a little bit of ‘Bourne’ in this movie. With ‘Salt,’ ‘Unknown,’ and ‘Hanna,’ we’re getting a trend of that type of film. How much or little of ‘Bourne’ is in this movie?

JS: The only thing that’s in this film and in ‘Bourne’ is an espionage element. This is more like, maybe kind of like dangerous. He’s in high school not really knowing who he is. He’s forced into a life and death situation. In the ‘Bourne’ pictures that guy was a trained killer. This guy is just a high school kid who has had a little bit of physical training. But he’s up against people who are trained killers. So there’s a lot of jeopardy there.

Are you working on anything now?

JS: Right now I’m working on ‘Abduction’. Making it hot. Working on the music and the sound effects, and we’re just dotting the I’s and T’s and getting it ready because it’s going to be a blockbuster. And you know me. It ain’t just about the hype. You saw the trailer. It’s great. It’s very good. It’s a good experience. It’s been a great experience working with this cast and we’ve got Sigourney Weaver in the movie, too. Yeah. And Jason Isaacs and Maria Bello. They play his parents. There’s a scene that Jason Isaac is in with Taylor that people are just going to be like- all the little girls are going to go, ‘Woo.’
