This month’s Total Film features an hunktastic shoot with Abduction star Taylor Lautner, and we’ve got an online exclusive image below.

We caught up with Lautner in LA to discuss his leap to action movie stardom with Abduction.

With his legions of squealing fans, Lautner has the teen idol/lust object bit down pat, but will he convince as an action man?

He certainly has some lofty aspirations, telling us, “The most important thing I did with John [Singleton – director] was sit down beforehand and watch a lot of movies and study actors that I look up to.”

“We studied Tom Cruise in Minority Report, Harrison Ford, Matt Damon, Denzel Washington…”

When we asked if he was actively looking to inherit their gig, he replied: “That would be an honour, to be compared to people like that. I look up to Tom Cruise and Matt Damon.

“I would kill to have the careers they’ve had…”

ABDUCTION IN THEATER EXCLUSIVE VIP FAN PREMIERES TO BE HOSTED IN 20 CITIES ON SEPTEMBER 15th

August 24th, 2011- Lionsgate and local theater partners will be offering Exclusive VIP Fan Premieres for the upcoming action-thriller ABDUCTION, starring Taylor Lautner. On September 15th at 6pm PST / 9pm EST, ABDUCTION will screen at VIP Fan Events in 20 cities across the United States where event attendees will be treated to a live stream of the Hollywood red carpet premiere on a big screen near them, followed by a sneak preview screening of the film before it hits theaters on September 23rd.

19 of the 20 cities have already been selected, but the final host city will be determined by Facebook fans. If there isn’t a VIP Fan Event already scheduled nearby, fans will be able to demand one in their city by voting on the ABDUCTION VIP Fan Premiere tab on the Facebook page. The final city will be chosen at random and announced on September 6th – cities are entered into the drawing once for each vote they receive, so the most enthusiastic city demanding their own screening has the best chance of winning.

Tickets for the VIP Fan Premieres will go on sale Monday, September 12th at 10am PST / 1 pm EST through the VIP Fan Premiere Facebook page. The cost for the event is $30, and includes a ticket to the streaming of the premiere from Hollywood followed by a screening of ABDUCTION before it comes out in theaters, plus a VIP Fan Pack including a Limited Edition VIP Locker Poster, Limited Edition VIP Lanyard, an ABDUCTION t-shirt and an ABDUCTION iPhone skin.

Hollywood life reports, Taylor Lautner has been trying to win back worldwide pop-star Taylor Swift’s heart, after his unfortunate breakup with Lily Collins.

Could he be using her as a rebound or are these rumors completely false? OR could the Taylor duo be destined to be?

“She was gushing to friends about how much fun they had [at the Teen Choice Awards],” a source tells Star. The duo had been talking for quite some time before finally reuniting at the awards show. “They first got together several weeks ago over the phone and e-mail after Taylor reached out to her.” However, he may just be using Taylor to fill a void. “He’s been down because his relationship with Lily Collins is cooling off.”

The couple first got together in 2009 after meeting on the set of Valentine’s Day, however their three month-long relationship quickly ended due to their busy schedules. “They were both way too busy with their careers then. He always felt terrible about the way things ended.”

“Even though they’ve remained friends since their break-up, a source close to Swift tells Gossip Cop they are NOT dating again, and that the Star story is untrue.”

Emily Rizzo of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania finally got to catch up with Taylor Lautner. Emily Rizzo and several of her friends have consistently extra’d throughout the ‘Abduction’ filming process at endless hours of the day. Unfortunately, when filming is in session the extras are off limits to having contact with any of the movie stars, including yours truly Taylor Lautner.

How did you get to meet Taylor Lautner?

Well, their car drove out of the parking lot and Lily Collins rolled down the window and told us to go down to the Bass Camp and we did. So, we walked down the street and then Taylor came out and shook our hands.

That’s really sweet of her to tell you guys to come down there! What happened next?

After he came to meet us we got to talk to him too and I told him I was an extra in your movie (Abduction) several days. I was also there yesterday and he said he remembered seeing me and I told him how I work at PNC Park (Pittsburgh Pirates Field) and he passed me while I was working the dessert cart!

Now the girls of the United States know who to blame if his abs start disappearing!

Hahaha, but I said “You didnt look too interested in any of it”, and he started laughing (self explanatory).

So, how many of you were able to meet Taylor at that time?

It was just me and my three friends were also there, Chelsea Schutz, Angela Thomas, and Christine Schell! We all got pictures and he said he was so glad to meet all of us. He was really sweet!

How was it on set? Also, how many days did you extra in the movie?

It was amazing being on set! Long hot days but it was totally worth it. The cast and crew were extremely nice. I was an extra 3 different days!

What is one of your favorite parts of being on the set with Taylor Lautner?

My favorite part about being in the film is definitely seeing Taylor act up close and personal and to see what he was like off camera. Being around such talanted ppl and learning about production was definitely a plus in working on the film as well.

Finally, Emily says..

It was a great experience everyone there was so friendly. I cant wait for the movie to come out. Overall it was an amazing experience and I hope you guys look out for me in the movie!
