You may have already seen “Eclipse” two times by now (heck even three!), but you might want to get yourself ready to head back to the theater some more this weekend after you hear this news!

We’ve seen a lot of chatter on Twitter today — including this tweet and this one — regarding the possibility of stars from the movie making surprise appearances at “Eclipse” showings in theaters throughout the country this weekend.

Well, surprise! We have exclusively confirmed with a source from the studio that YES the rumors are true! And, we can also confirm that it will be a whole SLEW of “Twilight” actors popping up in MANY locations around the country. While we don’t have any more information at the moment (i.e. don’t ask us if GPS chips will be put on the actors), you can rest assured that you now have that much more of a chance to come within feet of your very favorite Forks resident. If you thought Taylor Lautner’s Twilight character, werewolf Jacob Black, was a badass, just wait until you see what’s in store for him in his newest film, Abduction, according to a version of the film’s script!

The sexy 18-year-old stud stars as Nathan Harper, a high school senior who drinks, who dreams of leaving his hometown of Bridgewater, Virginia and who has a crush on cute brunette cheerleader Karen Lowell.

Except Nathan ISN’T all that normal. While working on a school project about abducted kids, he realizes HE is one of the missing children. As soon as he becomes aware of his true identity, Nathan is immediately pursued villains who have been searching for him since he was “taken” at the age of three.

The bad guys are former Ukrainian KGB Operatives who want to kill Nathan (real name Nathan Steven Spade) because of something his REAL dad, Black Ops secret agent Martin Spade, did in the past (we won’t give TOO much away here). His initial “kidnapping” was done for his own protection, so that he could live a normal and avoid danger.

Danger finds Nathan, of course, leading him on an action-packed journey from Virginia to Toronto, Canada, where he is shot at, stabbed, bombed, strangled, kidnapped TWICE, kills TWO people and saves the love of his life (Lily Collins).

John Singleton ( 2 Fast 2 Furious, Shaft, Boyz N The Hood) directs the film, which begins shooting in Pittsburgh, Penn. this week and is slated for a 2011 release, and he’s sure to make Taylor Lautner THE next big action star. Watch out, Will Smith and Matt Damon, your days are numbered!

“Twilight” week continues on Studio 6 and our film critic Jeff Bayer sits down with Taylor Lautner to talk about “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse.” They talk about where Jacob gets all those jean shorts, and what character would Taylor play if he wasn’t Jacob. Hottie Taylor Lautner is happy to be part of the “Twilight” movie machine, but he’d still like to go back to college at some point.

“I finished high school and enrolled in my local community college,” Lautner told “Extra” at the New York premiere of “Eclipse.” “I got 10 credits out of the way. Ever since ‘Twilight’ hit, it’s been a little busy. So if I’m not working, then I’ll be doing school.”

It’s not like Lautner is stopping work anytime soon, though. “I’ve been waiting to film ‘Abduction’ for a while, and I head to Pittsburgh tomorrow to begin. I’m very excited. That will be for about three months and take me straight into the ‘Breaking Dawn’ films. So I guess my summer vacation will be in Pittsburgh,” the actor laughed.

Fans of both the Harry Potter and Twilight series will have good reason to see the film Abduction, as it features two very well known faces from both franchises: Jason Isaacs (who plays Lucius Malfoy in the Harry Potter flms), and Taylor Lautner (who is werewolf Jacob Black in the Twilight films).

Abduction centers on a young man who attempts to uncover the truth about his life after he discovers his baby photo on a missing persons website. Isaacs has reportedly been in kickboxing training, since he has a fight scene in the film with Lautner (who has studied martial arts since the age of 7 and has won several tournaments). The film will also star Alfred Molina, Sigourney Weaver and Maria Bello.

Abduction is scheduled for release sometime in 2011.

After the NYC Screening of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner headed over to Lucky Strike Lanes & Lounge in NYC June 28, after their Eclipse premiere at the Crosby Hotel!

The two headed to the trendy bowling alley on West 42 street around 11:30 p.m. and spent the night in the LUXE Lounge. We wonder how Robert Pattinson felt knowing that he was stuck in LA filming his new movie Water For Elephants and going to important meetings with DreamWorks, while his Bella was with Jacob!

Lots and lots of fans have the pleasure of meeting Taylor Lautner in New York yesterday whether it be before or after his interviews on the Today Show and Regis & Kelly. Also, Kristen & Taylor attended the New York City Screening of Twilight’s Eclipse. After Taylor wraps things up in New York City he will be heading to Pittsburg, Pennsylvania to film his brand new action film ‘Abduction’!

Tonight, after Taylor Lautner hit up both The Today Show and Live With Regis And Kelly, he joined Kristen Stewart at the Cinema Society’s New York City premiere (screening) of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse.

Kristen Stewart surprised her fans with a new, gorgeous hair color and a unique black dress, while Lautner stuck to his tried and true suit and tie look for the event.

Kristen Stewart will appear on tonight’s episode of The Late Show With David Letterman, and she will also be on tomorrow morning’s Live With Regis And Kelly. Finally, she’ll hit up Lopez Tonight on June 30th.

Lautner, meanwhile, will appear on Letterman on July 1st – one day after the theatrical release of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse.

Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner have been teaming up for events like this a lot over the past few months – with appearances across the globe in cities like Sydney, Stockholm, Berlin, Seoul, and Rome.

Good news for Twilight fans and their guardians: early reports from America suggest the third instalment in the bloodsucking saga is the best so far by some way.

More on this filmThe Twilight Saga: Eclipse, which opens in the US this Friday and in the UK on 9 July (its premiere is tomorrow night), has received strikingly positive reviews in trade papers Variety and the Hollywood Reporter.

Both publications gave a big thumbs up to incoming director David Slade, who is said to have refocused the story away from superfluous special effects and back on to the three leads. Stephenie Meyer’s novel – on which the film is based – involves the final bit of flip-flopping by high-schooler Bella (Kristen Stewart) between undead paramour Edward (Robert Pattinson) and werewolf suitor Jacob (Taylor Lautner).

The result, says Variety’s Peter Debruge, “finally feels more like the blockbuster this top-earning franchise deserves … Despite the somewhat simple-minded source, the producers plot everything as if it were a strategic game of chess.” The result? “Eclipse feels the most cinematic of the series so far.” It’s a view echoed by the Hollywood Reporter’s Kirt Honeycutt, who thinks “Eclipse [is] a film that neatly balances the teenage operatic passions from Stephenie Meyer’s novels with the movies’ supernatural trappings”.

Honeycutt especially likes its sense of humour, highlighting dialogue that has Edward say to Bella, of the oft-topless Jacob, “Doesn’t he own a shirt?” Of the three leads, it’s Lautner who’s picked out for particular praise: “[He] nearly steals the movie with his ripped muscle and steely acting. He definitely has the ‘it’ factor Hollywood always looks for.”

Right after his early morning appearance on The Today Show, Taylor Lautner headed to Live With Regis And Kelly (except this time it was Mark Consuelos and Kelly Ripa) to talk about The Twilight Saga: Eclipse.

In the interview, Lautner walked down memory lane to re-live some of the past year’s biggest highlights, including his presentation (alongside Kristen Stewart) at the Academy Awards, his stint as host of Saturday Night Live, his meeting with Tom Cruise as “Les Grossman” for MTV Movie Awards promotions, and his trip to Stockholm, Sweden to promote Eclipse.

Two fan stories that Lautner shared were of a young lady tattooing his signature upon her arm and another of a little boy “bawling” at the Eclipse premiere last Thursday.

Lautner is scheduled, according to Gossip Cop, to appear on The Late Show With David Letterman on July 1st, and Kristen Stewart will be following up with Regis And Kelly tomorrow. Kristen Stewart will also be appearing on The Late Show With David Letterman this evening and Lopez Tonight on June 30th.
